James Dewitte Myer passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Brown Myer; three stepchildren, Michael (Peace) Morie, Sarah (Stephen) Reed and Ashley (Paul) Smithey; four grandchildren; and three brothers, David (Dena), Gary and Mike Myer...

James Dewitte Myer passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Brown Myer; three stepchildren, Michael (Peace) Morie, Sarah (Stephen) Reed and Ashley (Paul) Smithey; four grandchildren; and three brothers, David (Dena), Gary and Mike Myer.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Dewitte and Mary Myer, and his sister, Darlene Myer.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date, and all family and friends will be notified.

Cremation Society of Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
