THEBES, Ill. -- James Orval Milliren, 93, of Thebes died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 21, 1905, in Lawton, Okla., son of James Edward and Ida Case Milliren. He married the former Irene Jones.
Milliren retired as a production manager with Dr. Pepper Distributing Plant in St. Louis, Mo., and Blytheville, Ark. He was a member of Algabil Masonic Lodge 544 AF&AM in St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Alice Milliren of Thebes; two stepdaughters, Nona Whitaker of Thebes, Lisa Honey of Olive Branch; four stepgrandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Billy Don Heady officiating.
There is no visitation.
Jones Funeral Home at Tamms is in charge of arrangements.
