James Arthur McIntosh Jr., 76, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Heartland Care Rehab Center.
He was born Jan. 2, 1923, at Blodgett, son of James A. and Nellie Masterson McIntosh Sr. He and Jessie Mae Morris were married Oct. 17, 1945, in Piggott, Ark.
McIntosh had been a driver with St. Louis-Cape Bus Line. He was a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau, American Legion Post 0900 in McClure, Ill., and Eagles Aerie 3775 in Cape Girardeau.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry McIntosh of Cape Girardeau, James McIntosh III of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3838.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
