BERNIE, Mo. -- James L. Machen, 90, of Bernie died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Dexter Memorial Hospital at Dexter, Mo.
He was born Oct. 27, 1910, at Malden, Mo., to Hugh and Ida Machen.
He was a retired trucker and self-employed pest exterminator. He was a member of Bernie First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include three sons, James Lewis Machen Jr. of Campbell, Mo., Timothy Machen of Dexter, Terry M. Machen of Norfolk, Va.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bernie Cemetery, with the Rev. Murrell Duffie officiating. Rainey Funeral Home at Bernie is in charge of arrangements.
