James Lynn CHAFFEE, Mo. -- James Audrey "Jim" Lynn lived a troubled 64 years and finally found the peace he longed for Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital, when he passed away surrounded by those who loved him. He was born Sept. 27, 1944, to the late Audrey James Lynn and Iva Jewell Whorton Lynn who survives of Chaffee. He married Marilyn Kaye Lankford on Nov. 8, 1963. They were married 34 years...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- James Audrey "Jim" Lynn lived a troubled 64 years and finally found the peace he longed for Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital, when he passed away surrounded by those who loved him.

He was born Sept. 27, 1944, to the late Audrey James Lynn and Iva Jewell Whorton Lynn who survives of Chaffee. He married Marilyn Kaye Lankford on Nov. 8, 1963. They were married 34 years.

Lynn was a self-employed truck driver and his last job before he was disabled was driving for Rail Crew Express taking Burlington Northern railroaders to and from various work sites.

Survivors in addition to his mother are two daughters, Paula Chapman of Fruitland, Penny Lynn of Paducah, Ky.; two brothers, Forrest "Red" (June) Lynn and Steve (Judy) Lynn, all of Chaffee; two sisters, Bonnie Brown of Morehouse, Mo., Kay (Randy) Yant of Sikeston, Mo.; three grandchildren, Korey Chapman of Chaffee, Kayla and Chevy Chapman of Fruitland.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
