James Leek

MOUNDS, Ill. -- James C. Leek, 75, of Rockford, Ill., formerly of Mounds, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at his home.

Leek served in the U.S. Navy and Illinois National Guard.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to service time Friday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City, Ill.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Haws officiating. Burial will be in Mound City National Cemetery, with military honors by the U.S. Navy and area veterans organizations.
