SIKESTON -- Funeral for James H. Lambert of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. Pat Hogan and Johnny Hester will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Lambert, 87, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born June 19, 1911, in Lynn, Ala., son of Mack and Cora Pendley Lambert. He and Muriel Peterson were married Sept. 4, 1934.
Lambert had been a self-employed flooring contractor. He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry, James and David Lambert Sr. of Sikeston; a daughter, Peggy Boardman of Memphis, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
