PAINTON -- James L. Kinder, 59, of Painton died Sunday, March 31, 1996, at St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
He was born Feb. 27, 1937, in Perkins, the son of Thurman "Duke" and Marcia Rendleman Kinder. He married Margaret Halford on Feb. 29, 1954, at Paragould, Ark.
Kinder was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bell City. He worked for 34 years for Southern Pacific Railroad as a conductor.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; two sons, David Kinder of St. Charles and Kevin Kinder of Oran; three daughters, Pat Kinder and Myra Eichhorn of Scott City and Lisa Stewart of Bloomfield; three sisters, Jeanett Hamman of Cape Girardeau, Georgia Kinder of Florida and Rozella Perry of Sikeston; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Friends may call from 4:30-8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jim Robinson and the Rev. Gary Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park Advance.
