JACKSON - Former Jackson resident James L. Jones died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 1991 at his residence in Sun City, Ariz. He was 70.
A native of Benton, Ky., Jones lived in Jackson until moving eight years ago to Arizona. He was manager of the Production Credit Association in Jackson.
Jones is a former member of the Jackson R-2 School District's Board of Education. He was a member of the Optimist Club and the Scottish Rite in Jackson, and a Worthy Patron of the Jackson OES. He also served as a Cape Girardeau County Democratic committeeman.
Funeral services were held Friday in Arizona. Jones was buried in Sunland Memorial Park.
