James Joseph Ketcher, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at his home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1942, in St. Louis, to John E. and Charlotte E. Bacott Ketcher.
Ketcher graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with bachelor's degree.
He was of strong Christian belief.
Survivors include sons Mark (Danette) Ketcher of Cape Girardeau and Dr. Reid Ketcher of Hood River, Ore.; daughters Laura (Joe) Proffer of Cape Girardeau and Jamie Ketcher of Columbia, Mo.; brothers Pastor Jack (Alice) Ketcher of Cape Girardeau and Ken (Deanna) Ketcher of Paragould, Ark.; sisters Mary (John) Ruskin of St. Louis and Rose Barr of Florissant, Mo.; special friend Linda Woods of Brunswick, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with Pastor Jack Ketcher officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Lutheran Home -- Home Health Services or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
