Funeral service for James G. Bradshaw of Jacob, Ill., was held Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home in Ava, Ill. The Rev. Floyd Jent officiated, with burial in Glenn Cemetery at Jacob.

Bradshaw, 85, died Wednesday, June 3, 1992, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, Ill.

He was born June 3, 1907, in Jacob, son of Hurdy and Irene Green Bradshaw. He married Irene R. McCormick Sept. 26, 1925. She died June 10, 1976. He and Mamie Cashion were married Aug. 2, 1977.

Bradshaw was a farmer and retired prison guard. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, Shiloh Hill Masonic Lodge 695 AF&AM in Campbell Hill, Ill.; Scottish Rite in Belleville, Ill.; Ainad Temple in East St. Louis, Ill.; Jackson County Farm Bureau; AARP, and Mississippi Valley Senior Citizens.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Bradshaw of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Billie Grosvenor of Waterloo, Ill., Ione Rogers of Anna, Ill.; a sister, Esther Willis of Chester, Ill.; three stepsons, Albert Cashion of Loon Lake, Wash., Jim and Everett Cashion of Caseyville, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Millie Eggemeyer of Collinsville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sons, two daughters and two grandsons.
