James Michael Foeste, 71, of Egypt Mills died Saturday, July 23, 2016, at his home.

He was born March 22, 1945, in Cape Girardeau to Edward William and Alma Vivian Huey Foeste.

He and Joan Ellen Huckstep were married Jan. 23, 1965, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.

Jim was a truck driver for ABF Trucking for 35 years, retiring in 2007. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and a great friend to all who knew him.

His greatest pastimes were fixing up old tractors, tractor pulling, showing his 1941 Chevy truck, trail riding on his four-wheeler and spending time with his family and friends.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, Teamsters Union Local 574, Egypt Mills Antique Tractor Club and the Kool Klassics Car Club of Park Hills, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Ellen Foeste of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Donna Sue (Anthony Miller) Foeste of Cape Girardeau; a son, Darrell Wayne (Christy Gowan) Foeste of Cape Girardeau; granddaughters, Tara (Quinn) Eudy of Dublin, California, Amanda (Jared) Bomar of Cape Girardeau, Taylor Welker of Cape Girardeau, Molly Foeste of Perryville, Missouri, and Brandy and Kassidy Gowan of Cape Girardeau; grandsons, Trevor Foeste and Nathan Foeste, both of Cape Girardeau; a great-grandson, Rylen Eudy; a sister, Susan Richards of Anna, Illinois; and a brother, Kenneth (Judy) Foeste of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Vera Hall.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Weston Wildauer officiating.

Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
