LEOPOLD, Mo. -- James John Elfrink, 84, of Leopold died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 4, 1921, in Leopold, son of Jacob John and Adelheid H. Jansen Elfrink. He and Rachel Elizabeth Macke were married on June 2, 1945, in Leopold.
Elfrink was retired from the Mitchell Pallet Co. of Marble Hill, Mo. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 5898.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Emily Kelley of Leopold; four sons, Gerald Elfrink of Whitewater, Kevin Elfrink of Anchorage, Alaska, Kenny Elfrink of Jackson, Randy Elfrink of Oak Ridge; three brothers, Albert and Tom Elfrink of Leopold, Omer Elfrink of Gordonville; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and four brothers.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary will follow.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John Church in Leopold, with the Rev. Bill Huggins officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
