PUXICO -- Funeral for James E. Crank of Hot Springs, Ark., will be held at 10 a.m. today at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Dr. J. Richard Love will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Little Rock, Ark.
Crank, 74, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Puxico, son of John Clifton and Luda Crank.
Crank was assistant administrator at University Hospital and Hillman Clinic in Birmingham, Ala. He served as director and professor of Health Care at UAMS in Little Rock from 1969-80.
He was a member of American College of Hospital Administrators, lifetime member of American Association of Medical College and board member of Arkansas Arthritis Association and INNR.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, James Crank of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Kyla Pirani of Marion, Ark., Kim Love of Ruston, La.; a stepson, George Loftus of Bentonville, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Teresa Lehman of Fort Worth, Texas, and Susan Moore of Maumelle, Ark.
Also surviving are four brothers, Floyd Crank of Rockford, Ill., Ray Crank of Lake St. Louis, Don Crank of Hot Springs, Robert Crank of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Carolyn Martin of St. Louis, Shirley Richardson of Florida; and 13 grandchildren.
