James C. "Jim" Cox, 73, of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, died Monday, March 18, 1996, at Plummer Hospital there.
He was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Advance, son of Marion and Edna Hines Cox. He and Dorothy "Tod" Strong were married in February 1942.
Cox formerly lived in Cape Girardeau and attended Central High School. He moved to Canada about 1956, and owned Nor Pipe Construction Co. in Sault Ste. Marie.
Survivors include his wife, and a daughter, Judy Turgeon of Sault Ste. Marie.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Northwood Funeral Home in Sault Ste. Marie, with the Rev. Dennis Posno officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery there.
