James Allen Stevens, 68, 3713 Stonebridge, died Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 21, 1926, in Bernie, son of Lutona "Tony" and Birdie Rodgers Stevens.
Stevens married Willie Mansker Aug. 1, 1952, in Cape Girardeau.
Stevens graduated from Essex High School, Southeast Missouri State University, and received a master's degree from the University of Missouri.
He taught school, coached or was an administrator at schools in Bernie, Morehouse, Scott City, Calipatria, Calif., and Odessa. He retired as superintendent from Odessa in 1986 after 16 years of service.
Stevens was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Connie Moore of Raytown; a brother, Henry Stevens of Bernie, and two grandchildren.
A sister preceded him in death.
