Jacquelyn Madge Givens, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.
She was born Friday, May 28, 1937, in Chicago to Homer Franklin "Jeff" and Erma Bertha Woll Boswell.
She and Teddy D. Givens were married Aug. 25, 1955, at Cape Girardeau, having just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Jacquelyn was a legal secretary for 41 years for Oliver, Oliver, Waltz and Cook Law Firm. She was a member of the Legal Secretary Association and was honored as Legal Secretary of the Year for Missouri.
She was also a member of Hobbs Chapel and Cape Lanettes Bowling League for over 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, Teddy D. Givens, and daughter, Kim (Rick) Freed of Cape Girardeau; son-in-law, Jack Huckstep of Scott City; brother, Wayne Boswell of Sun City, Arizona; sisters, Johanna Boslin of Sun City and Jeffry Hawk of Jackson; grandchildren, Jessica (Terry) Koch and Teddy (Cara) Eggimann; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight great-stepgrandchildren; and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tammy Huckstep.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating.
Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
