MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Jacob Andrew Canoy, 24, of Marble Hill died Monday, Oct. 26, 2015.
He was born July 16, 1991, in Cape Girardeau to Jerry Allen and Rebecca Ann Ettling Canoy.
Jacob attended Jackson schools and had been a member of Boy Scout Troop 11 of Jackson.
He was a carpenter by trade and specialized in residential roofing.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Rebecca Ann Canoy and Jerry Aufdenberg of Marble Hill; his father, Jerry Allen Canoy of Scott City; two brothers, Levi Canoy of Cape Girardeau and Joshua Canoy of Marble Hill; a sister, Hannah Canoy of Marble Hill; maternal grandparents, Dr. William (Margaret) Ettling of Gordonville; paternal grandmother, Lorene Canoy of Sturdivant, Missouri; and a niece, Lilly.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry L. Canoy.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home-Jackson.
A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Grant F.C. Gillard officiating.
