Catherine Jacqueline "Jackie" Siebert went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving children and their families.
Jackie was born in St. Louis Sept. 25, 1926, to John and Catherine Boyle. Jackie married the love of her life, Harold Siebert, on Nov. 29, 1947. They shared 64 wonderful years together. Their love is a true inspiration to their children and all who knew them.
Anyone who knew Jackie knew that her greatest love was taking care of children. Her greatest joy was raising her own children. In her later years, she cared for her grandchildren and many other children, who became family.
Jackie was a devout and active Catholic her whole life. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for 52 years.
Jackie is survived by her sons, Harold; Rich (Denise); Tom (DeeDee); Andy (Mary); Bob (Lori); David (Theresa); Scott (Diane) Siebert; daughters, Barb (Keith) Schwartz, Lorrie (Matt) Schwartz, Judy (John) Hoffmeister; and Amy (Bryan) Young; daughter-in-law, Sandy (the late Jerry) Siebert.
Thirty-four grandchildren, Nancy, Stephen, Sean, Michael, Travis, Amanda, Mindy, Joe, Annie, Tom, Craig, Alicia, Jason, Brian, Lisa, Katie, Kevin, Kelly, Kyle, Drew, Ben, Lindsay, Ryan, Ashley, Hannah, Claudia, Michael, Brandi, Keisha, Veronica, Kendall, Mallory, Griffin and Garrett.
Thirty-eight great-grandchildren, Lauren, Callan, Ryan, Lydia, Kennedy, Simon, Kora, Silas, Mia, Gabe, Zhev, Taliana, Ariella, Austin, Andi, Tyler, Casey, Christian, Daniel, Andrew, Liam, Michaela, Bri, Gage, Carter, Braden, Jake, Korbin, Marley, Kenzlie, Leighton, Brooks, Kinley, Gunner, Preston, Laila, Nora and Evie.
And one great-great-grandchild, Kaiden.
She is also survived by her sister, Joan, and her brother and his wife, Jim and Shirley.
Beside her loving husband, Harold, Jackie was preceded in death by her son, Jerry, and infant daughter, Catherine; and her siblings and their wives, Bill and Josie, Terry and Sandy, Denny and Carla, MaryAnn, Janet and Frank.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1913 Ritter Drive in Cape Girardeau. Parish Prayers led by Deacon Mark will be at 7 p.m., with the Catholic Council of Catholic Women rosary immediately following.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at the church, with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Perry Avenue in Cape Girardeau.
