Jackie Lee Perry, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 18, 1936, in Fornfelt to Buster and Hazel Kelly Perry.
Jackie served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1971.
He graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School.
He lived in St. Louis for 23 years, working at McDonnell Douglas. He was an avid Cardinals baseball and Rams football fan.
He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include three nieces, Donna (Wayne) Tuttleton of Cape Girardeau, Jackie (David) Kelso of Scott City and Janet Mierisch of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was greatly loved and will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vivian Catlett; and a brother, Donald Backus.
Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Billy Garner officiating.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, with full military honors.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
