Jackie "Jack" Snyder, 85, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born July 6, 1934, in Lead Mine, West Virginia.

Jack served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 30 years. After his retirement, he worked for the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, Saint Francis Medical Center and Southeast Missouri State University. He was a member of the Cape Girardeau Eagles and was an avid golfer. He coached Little League baseball in Jackson for many years and was an influence to many. Jack will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Loving survivors include his children, Leslie Snyder of St. Augustine, Florida, Jackie Sikes and Jhan Snyder, both of Tallahassee, Florida, and Richard (Ava) Snyder of Springfield, Missouri; and grandchildren, Katie Whitener, Ryan Snider, Kyra Snyder, Russ Skinner, Anna Sikes and Rhiana Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Freda Stahl.

A visitation to celebrate Jack's life will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Private burial will take place at a later date in West Virginia.
