SIKESTON, Mo. -- Leonard M. "Jack" Skelton, 67, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 1, 1934, at Lusk Chapel, Mo., son of Robert Losson and Lula Mae Tabor Skelton. He and Loretta Welch were married Jan. 27, 1961, in Sikeston.
Skelton worked for the U.S. Postal Service 30 years, retiring in 1998.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Keith and Jeff Skelton of Sikeston; a daughter, Karyn Placek of Sikeston; three sisters, Alice Bridges of Arnold, Mo., Vivian Hooper and Betty Parr of Bertrand, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Herring officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
