MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Jack Howard Shell, 65, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born June 23, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, son of George Howard and Mildred Bess Shell.
Jack graduated from Murray State University with a master's degree in business administration. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega while attending MSU.
He worked as a management consultant in oil and gas, mining, insurance and public health industries in the United States and Venezuela.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred Shell of Marble Hill; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Francine Shell of Jacksonville, Fla.; two cherished grandchildren, Parker and Campbell Shell of Jacksonville; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dotta and Larry Roberts of Marble Hill.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at First Baptist Church in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating.
Hutchings Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
