CHARLESTON -- Jack S. Ketchum, 84, Charleston Route 2, died Tuesday, May 9, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born April 5, 1911, in Napier, Tenn., son of R.T. and Milbree Lee Rector Ketchum. He and Gladys Josephine Perry were married Jan. 27, 1934.
Ketchum had lived in Scott and Mississippi counties most of his life. He retired from Lochhead Farms in May 1975. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles and David Ketchum of Charleston; two daughters, Nellie Clayton of Hohenwald, Tenn., Ruth Brown of Charleston; a brother, Hoyt Ketchum of Summertown, Tenn.; a sister, Bessie Blew of Summertown; 24 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, six brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Gardner officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
