ANNA, Ill. -- Jack P. Maddox, 86, of Illinois Veterans Home in Anna, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Union County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Anna, son of William and Lela Wall Maddox. He and Haskell Sally Goodman were married May 14, 1938, in Jackson, Mo. She died Feb. 22, 1996.
Maddox was a retired retail merchant and licensed pilot. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge 520 AF&AM, and life member of VFW Post 3455.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
There are no known survivors.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. by Lodge 520.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Dongola American Legion Cemetery, with full military honors by VFW Post 3455.
