Jack Lancaster, 78, of Randles died Monday, April 21, 2008, at his home.

He was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Bell City, Mo., son of William "Bill" and Clara Lavada Simmons Lancaster. He and Gearldine Ann Menz were married Jan. 26, 1957.

Lancaster was a retired laborer with Local 1104. He was a member of Perkins Baptist Church, Whitewater Masonic Lodge 417 and Whitewater Order of Eastern Star 174.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Harold Lancaster of Delta, Gary and Fred Lancaster of Randles; a brother, Jimmy Lancaster of Chaffee, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Fortune of Kenney, Ill., Barbara Cook of Whitewater; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. A Masonic service will be held at 7.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Revs. Brian Gill and Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
