MOUNDS, Ill. -- Jack L. Cauhorn, 92, of Mounds, died Monday, Dec. 19, 1994, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.
He was born Feb. 5, 1902, in Buncombe, son of John W. and Sarah Littlepage Cauhorn. His first wife, Julia, died in 1974.
Cauhorn was a member of First Baptist Church, and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Eloise; two daughters, Marie Johnson of Calvert City, Ky., Thelma Brust of Paducah, Ky.; five sisters, Lula Lackey of Cobden, Lela Zimmerman of St. Louis, Mo., Grace Terback of Jonesboro, Anna Blanchard of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Ruby Atherton of Aurora, Ky.; seven stepsons, Art Helton of Arlington, Ky., Norman Helton of Russell, Kan., Jerry Helton of Johnston City, Dale Helton of Metropolis, Eddie Helton of Mounds, Gary Helton of Smithland, Ky., Wayne Helton of Olmsted; a stepdaughter, Barbara Latham of Olmsted; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 21 stepgrandchildren, and four great-stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
