SIKESTON, Mo. -- Wilford Grover "Jack" Hadder, 85, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born July 20, 1923, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., son of Grover Steven and Julia Ann Robinson Hadder. He and Ethel Pauline Russell were married Sept. 25, 1945, in New Madrid, Mo. She died Nov. 8, 1992.
Hadder was a retired farmer and service station manager.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Steven Hadder of Oran, Mo.; three daughters, Brenda Harper, Paula Appleton and Linda Greer, all of Sikeston; a brother, Frank Hadder of New Madrid, Mo.; four sisters, Mattie Morgan of Wenona, Ill., Geneva Hill of Pineville, La., Mary Lambert and Virginia Lambert of Sikeston; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Due to weather conditions, visitation will tentatively be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
