MOREHOUSE -- Jack Gaston Sullivant, 69, of Morehouse, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born April 17, 1925, in Morehouse, son of Markey W. and Cora Connie Gaston Sullivant. Sullivant served in the U.S. Army during World War II. MOREHOUSE -- Jack Gaston Sullivant, 69, of Morehouse, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born April 17, 1925, in Morehouse, son of Markey W. and Cora Connie Gaston Sullivant.

Sullivant served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University, and master's degree from Peabody University in Nashville, Tenn.

He taught high school history and science 17 years, and then worked at the Social Security Office in Cape Girardeau and taught classes at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He attended Rauch-Spence United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Hilda Sullivant of Morehouse.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim King officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston, with military graveside rites by the Color Guard of American Legion Post 153 in Poplar Bluff.
