OAK RIDGE -- Funeral service for Jack Boyd of Oak Ridge Route 1 will be held at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Lloyd Bollinger will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.

Boyd, 55 years old, died Friday, Feb. 8, 1991, at his home.

He was born March 15, 1935, at Alliance, son of Thomas A. and Etta H. Johnson. He and the former Patsy Riehn were married March 23, 1956.

Boyd had lived on a farm west of Oak Ridge for 31 years. He worked at Davis Electric Co. in Cape Girardeau for a time. He was an electrician at Lonestar Industries from 1969 until retiring in 1979. He was a member of TPA, served in the Naval Reserve from 1953-64, and attended Old Salem Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mary Ann Friese of Friedheim, Tina Shabel of Rhineland, Sondra Rees of Jackson; his mother of Jackson; two brothers, Thomas Boyd of Sedgewickville, Dewey Boyd of Charleston; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Boyd of Jackson, and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Stewart, in May 1989, and a sister.
