SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jack Allen Anderson, 62, of Sikeston died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 24, 1938, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Clyde and Colleen Murrow Anderson. He and Eugenia Dollar were married Dec. 21, 1955, in Hernando, Miss. She died Dec. 12, 1998.
Anderson was a water plant operator at the Sikeston water treatment plant for 23 years. He retired in 1998.
He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Forrestal after the Korean War.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffery Anderson of Charleston, Mo., and Todd Anderson of Sikeston; one daughter, Toby Anderson of Sikeston; one brother, Jim Anderson of Sikeston, one sister, Margie Gooddale of Sikeston, his mother-in-law, Virginia Dollar Gwaltney of Sikeston; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel, with the Rev. Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
