SIKESTON -- Joseph Cullen Polley, 81, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, March 23, 1994, at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1913, in Sturgis, Miss., son of Joseph Edward and Helen Ramsey Polley. He and Vela Mae Harbison were married Feb. 15, 1941, in Scott County.
Polley was a retired farmer, and had worked at Anchor Toy. He was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Paul, Guy and Doug Polley of Sikeston; two daughters, Jeanette Bell of Sikeston, Helen Bratch of Pacific; two brothers, R.L. Polley of Sikeston, Charley Polley of St. Louis; three sisters, Dorothy Lang of Haines City, Fla., Helen Donaldson of Dundee, Fla., Anita Geary of Dexter; 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and granddaughter.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Kelly Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
