Ivan L. Humphreys, 82, of Jackson entered into rest Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born May 30, 1935, in Advance, Missouri, son of Robert and Sadie Wilcox Humphreys. He and Deanna Corbin were united in marriage April 5, 1959.
Ivan worked as a welder for 30 years at the Laclede Steel Mill in Alton, Illinois. He and his wife, Deanna, were members of New Salem Baptist Church.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna Humphreys; sons, Jamie (Francine) Humphreys of Jackson and Richard (Stacy) Humphreys of Millersville; daughters, Crystal (Dave) Warren of Bunker Hill, Illinois, Nancy (Jim) Schneider of Wood River, Illinois, and Polly Landgraf of Jackson; a sister, Rosetta Lingle of Arnold, Missouri; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, with full military honors.
Memorials may be made to New Salem Baptist Church.
