Ivan R. Heuer, 53, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 7, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, to Ervin and Eva Fornkohl Heuer.

He was a 1976 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and traveled abroad for both business and enjoyment.

Heuer was president of the family business, Heuer Sons Implement Co. Inc. He was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church.

He was very active in the progress of farm machinery and its new technology. He was a strong supporter of the American farmer and his well-being. He was an avid supporter of the SEMO District Fair, the Egypt Mills Antique Tractor Club, the Cape Girardeau Elks and various other activities.

Survivors include his mother, Eva (Ray) Feuerhahn of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Donna (Mike) Ulrich of Cape Girardeau and Debbie (Buddy) Hahs of Overland Park, Kan.; a brother, John A. (Amy) Heuer of Cape Girardeau; one niece, Leah Ulrich; and five nephews, Andrew Ulrich, Aaron Ulrich, Adam Hahs, Noah Hahs and Quinn Hahs.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. today at Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. today at the church with the Rev. Tony Kobak and Vicar Nate Wollenberg officiating.

Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Pallbearers will be Denny Wessel, Jerry Tuschhoff, Mark Holzum, Andy Muench, George Graham and Luther Haynes.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Frank, John Adams, Michael Cox, Michael Haddix, Bernard Kiefer, Robert Hines and Barbara N. Sander.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hanover Lutheran Church.
