IVA BROWN

SIKESTON -- Iva Brown, 93, of Sikeston died Thursday, July 16, 1998, at Sikeston Health Care Inc.

She was born Feb. 28, 1905, in McKenzie, Tenn., daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Lee Barker Sherwood. She and Charley W. Brown Sr. were married May 13, 1918, in Sikeston. He died Aug. 5, 1976.

Brown had lived in Sikeston 80 years.

Survivors include three sons, Elgy, Charles Jr. and Billy Brown, all of Sikeston; three daughters, Dorothy Overton and Barbara Casey of Sikeston, Pearlie Watson of Morehouse; 32 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six sons, three daughters, four brothers, and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Rev. Lee Brown, a grandson, will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
