DONGOLA, Ill. -- Irvin L. McIntosh, 78, of Dongola, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Feb. 20, 1916, at Dongola, son of Arthur and Mary Arminda Lingle McIntosh. He married Florence Lillian Schluter, who died July 13, 1960. He later married Mary Daubs Kaufman July 4, 1969.
McIntosh was a rural letter carrier. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and Rural Letter Carriers Association. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Phyllis Karraker of Simpson, Marcia Bailey of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Leland McIntosh of Ullin, Arthur McIntosh of East Alton; a sister, Irene Acuff of Dongola; a stepdaughter, Ginger Kaufman of Imperial, Mo.; two stepsons, Tony and Mark Kaufman of Dongola, and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 5 p.m. today, and prior to service on Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Cooley officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.
