IRMA STEFFENS

PERRYVILLE, Mo. 00 Irma F. Steffens, 74, of Perryville died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

She was born June 2, 1926, at Farrar, Mo., daughter of Joseph and Katherine Mahnken Meier. She and Norman H. Steffens were married Jan. 25, 1948, at Perryville.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville and the Lutheran Womans Missionary League. She had served as a past president of the missionary league.

Survivors include her husband of Perryville; a daughter, Kathryn Stueve of Frohna, Mo.; a son, Kenneth Steffens of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Raymond Meier and Melvin Meier, both of Farrar; a sister, Helen Guth of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
