CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Irene Stringfellow, daughter of the late James David Taylor and Emma Alice Pugh Taylor was born April 8, 1928, in Loretto, Tennessee, and departed this life Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 91 years.
Stringfellow was a former machine operator for Sports Specialty Shoe Co. in Chaffee, member of General Baptist Church in Chaffee and a resident of Chaffee.
April 13, 1962, she was united in marriage to Charles "Blue" Stringfellow. Stingfellow preceded her in death May 29, 2004.
Survivors include a niece, Sue Traw; and two nephews, Mike (Sheila) Eby and Dennis (Karla) Dolan.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lynn Dennison; sisters, Vida Eby and Exia Dolan; and brothers, Estes, Earnest, Bose, Zeb and Junior Taylor.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will then be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
