IRENE STILTS

ADVANCE -- Emma "Irene" Stilts, 71, of Advance died Saturday, May 11, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 29, 1925, in Zalma, the daughter of the Rev. James Daniel and Josie Gray Fowler. On Sept. 19, 1942, she married Russell Stilts.

Stilts had been employed at one time by Central State Paper in St. Louis as a production worker.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jeranda Miller of St. Charles, Sheryl Euloe of Weatherford, Texas, and Karen Abbott of Sikeston; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson and brother.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. Tuesday until time for the memorial service at 1:30 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Gary Cooper will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Berrong Cemetery near Zalma.
