Irene Ruth Springer, 93, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at Lutheran Home.
She was born April 7, 1929, in Point Rest, Missouri, to the late Louis C. and Isabell A. Mehner Springer.
Irene worked for nearly 40 years as an inspector at the International Shoe factory and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
She is survived by her sister, Geraldine Ackman of Sikeston, Missouri; brother, Willard L. Springer of Cape Girardeau; nephew, Randy Ackman of Sikeston; niece, Rhonda Neels of Cape Girardeau; and great-nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dale G. Springer and Laverne O. Gockel; and brothers-in-law, Wayland Ackman and Marvin "Pete" Gockel.
Private family services will be held.
She will be laid to rest at Lorimier Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in her memory to Trinity Lutheran Church.
