Irene Brasher Johns, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 21, 1916, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Oscar L. and Ethel McClard Clifton. She and Cleo Johns Sr. were married June 8, 2000, in Paducah, Ky.
Johns had been a bookkeeper at Pevely Dairy and Todt Industrial, and a cook with ADM Barge Line. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Shirley O'Daniell of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter, Summer Collins; and a great-grandchild, Jordan Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Earlene Dillingham and Helen Hargraves.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from noon to 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Hogue will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund.
