Irene Davis

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Irene Davis, 91, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at Advance Nursing Center.

She was born May 10, 1910, at Allenville, Mo., daughter of John and Ella Suttles Jones. She and Clifton Hess were married Feb. 26, 1925. He preceded her in death. She and John L. Davis were married Jan. 27, 1930. He died Oct. 1, 1963.

She was a member of Mesler Baptist Church in Mesler, Mo.

Survivors include two sons, Louis Hess and Floyd Davis, both of Advance; four daughters, Winnie Kemp of Jackson, Mo., Dorothy Dannenmueller of Chaffee, Mo., Grace Davis and June Crenshaw, both of Advance; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Mo.
