MARBLE HILL -- Irene E. Beel, 75, of Marble Hill died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at the Bond Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 29, 1923, at Glennon, daughter of Henry F. and Sophie M. Larentious Vandermierden. She and Henry J. Beel were married Oct. 20, 1943. He died Sept. 25, 1977.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality and Miraculous Medal.
She is survived by five sons, Jerome Beel of Maplewood, Albert Beel of St. Louis and Theodore Beel, Jim Beel and Don Beel, all of Marble Hill; three daughters, Janet Weber of Benton, Louise Nanney of Glen Allen and Rita Kynion of Advance; a brother, Martin Vandermierden of Marble Hill; two sisters, Dorothy Trankler of St. Louis and Agnes Trankler of Oran; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill, with parish prayers and Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 o'clock.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Glennon. The Rev. Bill Huggins will officiate, with burial to follow at St. Anthony's Church Cemetery.
