CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Irene Agnes Lewis, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 1990 at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 21, 1910 in Oran, daughter of William Pobst Mary Menz Pobst.
She married Carl J. Lewis Dec. 15, 1928 in Oran. He preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1983.
She is survived by two sisters, Lorene Templeton and Loretta Hagy, both of Cape Girardeau; two nieces, Joan Campbell, Cape Girardeau, and Mary Lou Smith, Festus.
One brother preceded her in death.
She lived in Oran and Chaffee for a number of years. She lived in Cape Girardeau for over 60 years.
She worked at the Ely Walker company as a supervisor for a number of years.
A member of the St. Mary's Cathedral Parish, she was also a member of the Cathedral Ladies of St. Mary's.
Friends may call at Sprigg Street Chapel today from 4-8 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
