Ina Simmers
ADVANCE, Mo. -- Ina George Simmers, 92, of Advance died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at the Advance Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 5, 1916, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of Robert and Maude Bennett Irvin. She and Fred George were married Aug. 31, 1935, at Brownwood, Mo. He died Feb. 14, 1978. She married Raymond Simmers in 1986 at Advance. He died Nov. 6, 1988.
Simmers was a member of the Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church near Zalma.
Survivors include a foster son, Archie Maloney of Zalma; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Sargent officiating.
Interment will be at Brush Creek Cemetery near Zalma, Mo.
