Ina Elkins

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Ina Elkins, 93, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at the Jonesboro Healthcare Center.

She was born Nov. 23, 1909, in Jonesboro, son of Frank and Ida Womack Foster. She and Guy Elkins were married April 1, 1932, in Jonesboro. He died July 21, 1980.

She worked as a cook.

Surivors include three sons, Fred Elkins of Liverpool, N.Y., Larry and Darrell Elkins of Elgin, Ill.; two daughters, Carolyn Ferguson of Jonesboro and Marilyn Jones of Dongola, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two great-grandsons, a brother and a sister.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jonesboro Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating.
