MATTHEWS -- Imogene Vann, 73, of Matthews died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Pontotoc, Miss., daughter of Arthur Dolphus and Alice Josephine George Morrison. She and R.B. Vann were married Dec. 16, 1949, at Lilbourn. He died Sept. 8, 1990...

MATTHEWS -- Imogene Vann, 73, of Matthews died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Pontotoc, Miss., daughter of Arthur Dolphus and Alice Josephine George Morrison. She and R.B. Vann were married Dec. 16, 1949, at Lilbourn. He died Sept. 8, 1990.

Vann taught elementary school at Kewanee during World War II. She was a member of New Madrid Baptist Church, had been a volunteer at Sells Rest Home many years, and had been a Girl Scout leader.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Vann of New Madrid, Art Vann of Bloomfield; a daughter, Stacey Constant of Pacific; two brothers, Art and Lannie Morrison of Lakeland, Fla.; three sisters, Myrtis Smith of Lilbourn, Thelma Conley and Glynn Domme of Chicago; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a twin sister, two other sisters, and three brothers.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Tom Bray officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
