Imogene Seabaugh, 95, of Jackson passed away Wednesday Feb. 28, 2024, at The Arbors at Capetown in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Winfield, daughter of John Virgil and Grace Mary Crites Gallup. She and Joseph Seabaugh were married Aug. 12, 1957, in St. Albans, New York. He passed away Dec. 6, 2010.
Imogene was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church. She worked for many years as an accounting clerk for the postal data center in St. Louis, retiring in 1974. After retiring, Imogene and Joseph moved to Jackson.
Loving survivors include two nieces, Cindy Jobe (Bruce Smith) of Cape Girardeau and Chris (Clint) Ruppel of Jackson; two nephews, Tim (Lora) Borgfield of Jackson and Terry (Christa) Borgfield of Texas; numerous great-nieces and -nephews; numerous great-great-nieces and -nephews; and a brother-in-law, Cletus Borgfield.
Imogene was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Bertie DeBoe, Ethel Borgfield and Allene Koechig; one niece, Pam Davis; and one great-nephew, Johnny Newell.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the funeral home, with Pastor Jimmie Corbin officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Capetown Assisted Living and Memory Care.
