SIKESTON, Mo. -- Imogene LaPlant, 76, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Sikeston, daughter of Patrick C. and Una Lillian Atherton Davis Sr. She and Richard William LaPlant were married April 25, 1951. He died Jan. 16, 1965.
LaPlant had been a teacher's aide at Sikeston Public Schools, a bookkeeper at Allen Davis Gin Co., and retired in 1978 as a salesclerk at Big K. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Rik LaPlant of Sikeston; a sister, Louise Chandler of Fenton, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Dr. Jim Guffie and the Rev. Larry Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
