SIKESTON -- Imo Throop, 78, of Sikeston died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998, at her home.
She was born July 10, 1920, at Appleton, Ark., daughter of John and Etta Wiley Hill. She and Loren E. Throop were married on Feb. 21, 1937, at Matthews. He died June 8, 1986.
She was a former cafeteria worker at Sikeston Southwest Elementary School. She was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Throop of Sikeston and Mark W. Throop of Centralia; a daughter, Lorita Ulmer of Sikeston; a brother, Jim Hill of Louisville, Ky.; four sisters, Amy Vest of New Albany, Miss., Wilma Kelley of Atkins, Ark., Wilma Kelley of Essex and Emogene Dollar of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with Johnny Hester and Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
